Dr. Truong has a proven track record of closing opportunity gaps, improving educational outcomes, and expanding access to high-quality learning. She has successfully:

• Closed achievement gaps for Black students as a middle school principal within five years.

• Resolved over 100 Office of Civil Rights violations as ESL Director, leading to statewide adoption of new English Language Development standards.

• Spearheaded the expansion of Dual Language programs, ensuring more students gain the benefits of bilingual education.

• Advocated for and contributed to full-time Kindergarten and the successful passage of PreK for all.
