Dear Beaverton Community, I am deeply grateful for the continued support and connection I’ve felt across the Beaverton School District. These past few weeks have been filled with meaningful conversations, powerful endorsements, and opportunities to grow alongside the people and communities I hope to serve. 🌟 Milestone Moment
I’m proud to share that I’ve now visited all 54 schools across Beaverton School District’s 7 Zones—a journey that took five weekends of walking through school campuses and nearby neighborhoods. These visits didn’t provide insight into the specific identities or needs of each school community, but they did offer a clear picture of the physical learning environments and how much a school’s location—its zip code—can impact the quality of facilities and resources. It was a powerful reminder of the urgent need for equity across our district. I’m looking forward to meeting with staff and parents to celebrate the unique strengths of each school community and to listen and learn from their experiences. 💬 Endorsements that Inspire
